Retirement Policy Expert Dallas Salisbury Joins ACCF as Senior Nonresident Fellow

The American Council for Capital Formation proudly announced the addition of retirement policy expert Dallas Salisbury as a Senior Nonresident Fellow for Retirement Policy to its leadership team.

Salisbury is the former President and CEO of the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI), a nonpartisan, tax-exempt organization created in 1978 for the purpose of contributing to sound employee benefit programs and public policy through independent, objective, fact-based research and education.  He has served on many commissions, study panels, editorial advisory boards, and consulted with public and private organizations of all types. Salisbury is a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources.   He is also a past member of the Board of Advisors to the Comptroller General of the United States and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation Advisory (having served for four years as an appointee of President H.W Bush and more recently for four years as an appointee of President Barack Obama).  In addition to his other roles, Salisbury currently devotes his time to volunteer work for the Long-Term Care Quality Alliance.

“Dallas is one of today’s leading authorities on retirement policy,” ACCF President and CEO Mark Bloomfield said.  “The challenges facing retirement security today have been further compounded by the economic and markets shocks of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Policymakers will need to hear from the best experts, and we look forward to helping lead the dialogue.”

“The ACCF has a strong track record on savings and retirement policy spanning the last four decades,” Salisbury said.  “They have a unique ability to tackle policy challenges in a bipartisan manner and I look forward to helping them advance much-needed reforms to retirement policy.”
