ACCF Panel Discussion: Barriers to Growth of the U.S. LNG Industry

On May 27 the ACCF hosted the second in a three-part series of events focused on the U.S. liquified natural gas (LNG) sector: Barriers to Growth of the U.S. LNG Industry.

Our first event looked at issues of supply and demand, the economic benefits of LNG exports, and the environmental challenges facing the industry, including methane emissions. Our second event will consider the barriers to continued LNG expansion, including permitting hurdles, financing challenges, and activist opposition. We will also look at “sustainable gas” efforts and how they may play a role in the LNG sector.

Much like our first event, this will be a panel discussion featuring four experts in the LNG field, to include:

Jeff Hammad, Commercial Vice President, Golden Pass LNG
Roy Hartstein, Founder and Managing Director, Responsible Energy Solutions
Fred Hutchison, President & CEO, LNG Allies
Riley Smith, Policy Advisor, Global Gas and LNG, American Petroleum Institute
