In Memoriam: ACCF Scholar Ed Prescott

The ACCF is saddened to learn of the passing of Ed Prescott, a longtime member of the ACCF Board of Scholars. A 2004 winner of the Nobel Prize for economics, Ed’s perspectives on fiscal policy was well respected by policymakers and the media in Washington. Ed served as an economic advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and he made his academic mark at many institutions including University of Pennsylvania, University of Minnesota, University of Chicago, Northwestern University and University of Arizona. We bid Ed Prescott farewell and thank him for his many years of service to our nation.
