ACCF ADDS PERSONNEL — As it marks its 50th anniversary, the American Council for Capital Formation — a bipartisan business advocacy group and affiliated think tank whose boards include Obama’s former chief economist, Jason Furman, and previously included President Trump’s chief economist, Kevin Hassett — has announced a slate of personnel changes.

 George David Banks is now president and CEO of the group, taking over from Mark Bloomfield, who stepped down to become chair of the ACCF board of directors. Michael Zehr has joined as senior fellow for mining and supply chain security, and Timothy Fitzgerald as senior fellow for energy economics. John Dabbar, Maya MacGuineas, Ed Goeas and former Reps. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) and Garret Graves (R-La.) have joined its board of advisers. Tomas Philipson has joined ACCF’s board of scholars.
