ACCF Talks Tax Policy at PPI Mosaic Luncheon

On May 2, ACCF Executive Vice President and Chief Economist Dr. Pinar Cebi Wilber joined Tania Mercado Senior Manager, Public Affairs & Corporate Communications for Intuit for a luncheon deep dive on tax policy with Progressive Policy Institute’s Mosaic project. Mosaic aims to put more women at the forefront of policy making and to empower expert women with the tools and connections needed to engage with the media and lawmakers on today’s toughest policy challenges.

The discussion centered on the 2023 tax season and latest trends for filers, barriers that prevent low-income households and other underserved communities from getting the most out of our tax system, the rise of tax challenges for gig workers and the self-employed, and a comparison of the U.S. tax system to the structures of other nations.
